What is ‘Building Vocabulary’ and why is it important?
YOU are the most important tool for your child to build their vocabulary!
Using predictable and repetitive verbal routines will help build your child’s vocabulary on a daily basis. You don’t have to spend a lot of time on extensive activities to build vocabulary, you can use your everyday routines. :)
Here is a variety of vocabulary words including nouns, verbs and adjectives that can be used with different activities:
While playing with bubbles: BUBBLE, OPEN, CLOSE, POP, BLOW, BIG, SMALL, ONE-TWO-THREE, READY-SET-GO, MORE, AGAIN, FUN, HIGH, SKY, GROUND
